Jaipur: Equipped with smart poles, Wifi and environment sensors, narrow lanes of the old city will be renovated under the ‘Gandi Galiyan’ renovation project by the Jaipur Smart City Limited. Ranjan said that a top-to-bottom renovation is being carried out for not only the main market but also the narrow lanes of the area. “The entire area is a part of the heritage. Smart poles fitted at the beginning and the end of these ducts will ensure not only proper maintenance of the duct but will also have traffic sensors in order to calculate the traffic intensity of these lanes. The Smart City Limited also plans to develop an app in order to inform the commuters of the alternate routes on the main roads using these traffic sensors.
