Oppn presents united front at AAP Delhi rally

NEW DELHI: Opposition leaders, including West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, gathered in Delhi on Wednesday to take part in a mega rally ahead of the summer’s Lok Sabha elections organised by the Aam Aadmi Part y ( AAP), where t hey slammed the BJP as a “threat to democracy”.

The rally was organised weeks after Banerjee hosted Opposition leaders in Kolkata in a similar show of strength on January 19.

Other senior leaders at the rally included senior Communist Party of India-marxist (CPI-M) leaders Sitaram Yechury and D Raja, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh, Samajwadi Party’s Ram Gopal Yadav, Nationalist Congress Party’s Sharad Pawar, National Conference’s Farooq Abdullah, DMK’S Kanimozhi and LJD chief Sharad Yadav.
