PM Modi flags off India’s fastest train

NEW DELHI: India’s first semi-high speed train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday from the New Delhi Railway Station amid sombre mood in the backdrop of the terror attack in Pulwama. Bookings have begun for Train 18, rechristen­ed Vande Bharat Express, which will run between Delhi and Varanasi five days a week. Commercial operations will begin from February 17.
