Bribery case: Jhotwara police officer suspended

JAIPUR: Assistant Commissioner of Police(acp) for Jhotwara circle Aash Mohammad was suspended on Saturday after his name surfaced in a bribery case.

The orders released by the home department said, “A case under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, (amended) and section 120(B) of Indian Penal Codewas registered against Rajasthan Police Services (RPS) cadre officer Aash Mohammad who is posted as ACP Jhotwara on Thursday. The allegations levelled against him are serious.”

“To get his clarification, Anticorruption Bureau (went to his office but he was not present and his phone is also switched-off. Also, he didn’t appear before the ACB.
