Can’t expect Centre to solve mining problem: Parrikar

-

PANAJI: The Goa government can no longer look towards the Centre for a solution to Goa’s mining impasse and will need to look for solutions itself, state chief minister Manohar Parrikar reportedly told his cabinet colleagues on Monday. The CM, who chaired a meeting of the state cabinet at his private residence, however, did not elaborate on the state government proposal to restart mining. “The solution will have to come from the state itself, this is what the CM said. What exactly this means, I also do not (understand). He did not elaborate. He feels that nothing is coming from the centre, the state will have to do something,” Sardesai told reporters.
