Board President’s XI go down to England women

NEW DELHI: The England women’s cricket team beat Board President’s XI by two wickets in their warm-up match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday. Electing to bat, the Indian team was shot out for just 154 in 49 overs as England pacer Anya Shrubsole took 4/30 in eight overs. For hosts, Minnu Mani top scored with 28 followed by Bharati Fulmali (23) and Harleen Deol (21). Skipper Smriti Mandhana scored only 19. England reached the target in 37.3 overs with Heather Knight’s 64 not out.
