NORTH WESTERN RAILWAY INCREASES NUMBER OF AC COACHES IN THREE TRAINS TO HANDLE FESTIVAL RUSH. ONE AC CHAIR CAR TO BE ADDED TO AJMERNEW DELHI SHATABDI EXPRESS ON OCT 26

JAIPUR: Rail minister Piyush Goyal inaugurate­d the RingusJaip­ur broad gauge line through video conferenci­ng from New Delhi on Monday. The minister also launched the the JaipurSika­r-jaipur DEMU rail service for daily commuters, in a ceremony held at Ringus railway station.

The new rail service will establish direct rail connectivi­ty to Shekhawati area with Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi through broad gauge, said north western railway’s chief public relations officer Abhay Sharma.

The new rail service will run six days a week, he added.

Jaipur-sikar DEMU ( No. 79603) will depart from Jaipur from October 22 at 10.30am and reach Sikar at 13.10am.

The train will reach Ringus at 11.41am. On its return, it will depart from Sikar 2pm and reach Jaipur at 4.55pm, touching Ringus at 3pm.

Sikar MP Sumedhanan­d Saraswati, who was present at the ceremony, said that this railway service is the result of very long efforts.

“The government and the railway administra­tion worked together, thus completing this work rapidly,” he said.

Goyal and Minister of State for Railways Suresh C Angadi for sanctionin­g the budget for this project.

Meanwhile, the north western railway has increased number of airconditi­oned coaches in three trains to handle festival rush, said a release.

One AC chair car will be added to Ajmer-new Delhi Shatabdi Express on October 26. One third AC coach will be added to Delhi Sarai Rohilla-ringus Express (No. 14021/ 14022) from October 24 to 27.

One third AC coach will be added to Kamakhya-bhagat Ki Kothi Express (15624/ 15623) for four days.

In train leaving Kamakhya, the coach will be added from October 25 to 28, and in train leaving Bhagat Ki Kothi, the coach will be added from October 29 to November 3.
