Condemning the incident, BSP national president Mayawati had termed it a “shameful” act and blamed Congress for it. “The Congress party first took away our

BSP MLAS in Rajasthan and now to damage our movement is attacking senior people, which is shameful and condemnable. The Congress is setting a wrong tradition against Ambedkar movement, which can be replied in the same manner,” she tweeted on Tuesday.

Congress spokesperson Archana Sharma refuted any involvement of Congress in the act. “The incident is unfortunate and shows declining levels of politics. It is also visible that there is infighting in BSP, resulting to which such an incident happened,” she said. HTC
