100 gelatin wires, 50 detonators seized from Phulera house

More things would be cleared once he is arrested but as of now we can say that the explosive is very dangerous. The amount of explosive recovered from the house is worth lakhs and is matter of serious concern.

JAIPUR: The special team of Jaipur rural police on Monday afternoon recovered huge quantity of illegal explosive from a house falling under limits of Phulera police station.

Jaipur rural superinten­dent of police (SP) Shankar Dutt Sharma said that the cache included 100 gelatin wires, 50 detonators, 26 bundles of blasting wires, electric switches, 37 packets of used ammonium nitrate around 38 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, 30 metres long detonator wires, gelatin sticks, fuses and other items that were recovered.

Police, however, are yet to arrest anyone in this connection.

“Acting on a tip-off, a team was rushed to a house which is 400 metres from famous Bandhe K Balaji temple falling under limits of Phulera police station from where huge amount of illegal explosive was recovered,” said Sharma,

A police official who requested anonymity said that the house belonged to Mohan Lal Jat, native for Phulera but he lives in Sanwar area of Ajmer district.

“More t h i n g s woul d b e cleared once he is arrested but as of now we can say that the explosive is very dangerous. Primarily it appears that he was buying this explosive from some factory in state or outside and was selling this to mountain mining mafias. The amount of explosive recovered from the house is worth lakhs and is matter of serious concern. If misused it can create severe damage,” the officer said.

A diary has been also recovered from the possession of Jat in which he has maintai ned records of selling explosive to various people across districts.
