ALWAR/KOTA/BARMER/UDAIPUR: The results of two municipal council and nagar palika have given a shocking treatment to Congress leaders. The party could not get a majority even in a single place. The fate of two municipal council and nagar palika will be decided by Independents.

Alwar municipal council election was fought under the leadership of minister of state for labour Tikaram Jully and was monitored by former central minister Jitendra Singh.

The party could get only 20 seats out of 65. The BJP got 27 seats, 6 short of majority. One BSP and 17 independents will decide the fate of both the parties. The BJP is in power for the last ten years.

In Bhiwadi Municipal Council both Congress and BJP got 23 seats each out of 60 . Two BSP and 12 independents will decide who will rule the council. Here also the BJP is in power for the last ten years. But due to hard work done by Congress MLA Sandeep Yadav it seemed that Congress will throw BJP out power. Now two BSP and 12 independent councillors will decide the future course of action.

In Thanagazi Municipality where elections were held for the first time Congress got 10 and BJP 9 seats. Six independents have also been elected. Independent MLA Kanti Meena ,who has given support to the Gehlot government, is trying hard for getting the Congress in majority.

The Congress has swept the Municipal body polls in Hadoti region by winning all the municipal bodies.

The Kota Municipal Corporation polls were deferred by the state government in the past but municipal polls were held in two municipal bodies of Kota district including Sangod and Kaithoon.
