LEARNING GOES PHYGITAL

Phygital learning will bring in an effective blend of physical and digital learning. Seamless offline-online integratio­n will add a whole new dimension to digital learning and key to delivering impactful learning programs. The environmen­t will be conducive to a homogenous format of learning, which will translate into learners ‘learning’ while they are ‘doing’.

LEARNING AT HOME BECOMES MORE AND MORE DIGITAL

Digital learning tools will see an increased adoption from students especially when they are learning at home. Home is where they learn at their own pace and in their own style, a need easily met through digital learning tools. This is also a result of greater acceptance of this format of learning by parents, who are now encouragin­g their children to integrate digital & visual learning into their study mix.

Innovation in helping students apply their learning by doing will emerge as a priority. Newer dimensions to quizzes, interactiv­e games, story-based Q&AS, engaging l e s s o n s whi c h strengthen concepts, will see greater inclusion and adoption.

PERSONALIZ­ATION

Data and analytics will play a major role in the personaliz­ation of learning. Students are looking for learning solutions customized to their own style and pace and a majority of innovation and insights will be towards making personaliz­ation as effective as possible.

INNOVATION IN EARLY LEARNING

As the importance of formative learning and early conceptual understand­ing gains more acceptance, we will see a lot more innovation in products, tools and ideas to help young children get learning right from the beginning. From storified concepts to their favorite cartoon characters playing teachers, kids will experience a highly engaging form of learning from their early years.

VERNACULAR LEARNING WILL GAIN IMPORTANCE

As internet penetratio­n and smart device adoption continues to increase across India, learning will become more customized. To cater to the huge student population outside metros, learning programs will be effectivel­y created and delivered in all key vernacular languages.

DIGITAL LEARNING TOOLS/AIDS WILL SEE GREATER ADOPTION FROM TEACHERS

Because of better awareness of the positive impact of digital learning, the coming year will see teachers/educators increasing­ly adopt tech-enabled learning tools to support their students’ learning needs. This could be in a classroom or in an afterschoo­l learning setup.
