COVID PATIENTS TO BE PUT INTO CATEGORIES TO EASE RUSH IN HOSPITALS

BHARATPUR: Amid increasing patient load in hospitals and shortages of beds, district administration has decided to divide Covid patients in three categories to reduce crowd in hospital in Bharatpur.

District collector of Bharatpur Himanshu Gupta said, “All beds in hospital are full while patients are coming from neighbouring states for treatment. We have decided to divide all Covid patients in three categories as red, black and green.”

He added, “Critical patients will be put under red category to admit in district hospital while patients in black category will be shifted to women polytechnic college and patients under green category will be home isolated.” He said that team of doctors will decide on which category a patient is to be placed. More than 2,000 cases have been traced while 22 patients died in the district.
