HC not to take up physical hearing of cases till May 17
JODHPUR: quasi-judicial proceedings will stand extended till further orders. Advocates are exempted from wearing coat and gown during the virtual hearing.
According to the notification, such number of division and single benches at Jodhpur and Jaipur will be constituted as directed the chief Justice for hearing of the urgent matters.
“The request for listing of urgent cases for next day may be made up to 9.30 am through ‘urgent listing’ option, which is available on home page of the website,” the registrar general said.
“Only bare essential staff of courts, judicial sections, administrative sections and the computer cell, required to manage the urgent work, would be called on a rotational basis. Sitting arrangement of the staff shall be in such a manner so as to maintain required physical distance. Only such staff members are required to come to office who have been specifically directed to do so till May 17. Remaining staff will remain available at home during office timings,” he added.

The Rajasthan high court will not take up physical hearing of cases till May 17 in view of the rise in Covid cases. Urgent matters will be taken up through video conferencing, according to a notification issued by the registrar general of the court.
“The state government is observing Pandemic Red Alert Public Discipline Fortnight from May 3 to 17 and has issued an order for closure of workplaces, commercial establishments and markets. In view of the order and considering the persisting grave situation, the functioning of the Rajasthan high court at Jodhpur and Jaipur bench shall be only through video conferencing from May 4 to May 17,” said the notification issued on Sunday.
All interim orders expiring between May 4 and 17 will remain extended till the next date to be announced. Accused persons will be exempted from personal presence in appeals/ revisions till May 17.The period of limitation for judicial and
