Ensure adequate oxygen: Raj HC
JODHPUR: authorities of the state government are directed to supply medicines, in particular Remdesivir injection, on receipt of the requisition urgently and not later than two hours,” the court ordered.
“We direct the state government to explore the possibility of operation of oxygen plants, which are not in operation but capable of producing oxygen, including the one at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital at Jodhpur.”
The bench said, “The state government may consider taking the services of final year MBBS students as well as PG courses students if they are suitable to serve the public at large.”
The petition sought to direct the state to ensure effective treatment of Covid patients by raising low supply of Remdesivir injection and oxygen, arbitrary rates of medical treatment and non-availability of beds in hospitals as per the requirement in the state. The petition also cited news related to black marketing of Remdesivir published in HT.
The court has set May 6 as the next date of hearing.
