JAIPUR/ UDAIPUR:

An 11-yearold boy in Udaipur has appealed to the Rajasthan State Human Right Commission (RSHRC) to take action against his mother for allegedly using foul language against his elderly grandparents.

The boy in his application claimed that her mother does not live with them in his grandparents’ house, but visits regularly only to create havoc in their lives by quarrelling and tossing abuses at grandparents, who are in their 70s and are suffering from multiple illnesses. He himself claimed to be mentally harassed by his mother.

“All this is affecting my everyday life and taking a toll on my studies. She (mother) often uses expletives like dayan (witch) to address my grandmother,” he wrote.

He said that he was raised by his father and grandparents, who take good care of him and he doesn’t wish to live with his mother.

The boy alleged that her mother torments his grandparent because she is vying on their properties.

The application was sent to the RSHRC, which forwarded it to the Udaipur police.

Udaipur superintendent of police (SP) Rajeev Pachar said the district police have received the application and have begun looking into the matter.
