Social worker facilitates oxygen generator for Kota Covid patients
KOTA: While the state government and district administrations are facing tough times in arranging medical grade liquid oxygen for Covid-19 patients, a man has helped provide Dedicated Covid Government Hospital of Kota with a skid-mounted oxygen generator (SOG) plant, which can provide oxygen to 40 beds.
At a time when the country is facing the second wave of Covid-19, people like Yash Malviya (36) are coming forward for the aid of the hospitalized Covid-19 patients.
Malviya, a social worker and secretary of the Kota Vyapar Mahasangh, has facilitated the SOG plant for the New Medical College Hospital (NMCH’S), the dedicated Covid hospital in Kota.
Yash said, “Kota has been battling for the oxygen generation since the start of month after which governments provided oxygen tankers for the ailing patients of Kota, but still the oxygen need was higher so I was in search of some oxygen generation plant donor.”

The skid-mounted oxygen generator has arrived Kota and handed over to the NMCH, he said.
Superintendent of the NMCH, Dr Chandrashekhar Sushil said, “The skid-mounted oxygen generator has reached Kota and would generate oxygen from air.” The SOG plant shall be generating 93%+/-3% oxygen with a designed capacity of 20/15 Ncum per hour and delivery pressure of around 4.5 barg, which will be sufficient to supply oxygen to 40 beds, he said.
He said, “Yash Malviya has done tremendous work by facilitating the oxygen generation plant for Kota.”
