State to further relax restrictions from today
Markets will be allowed to open till 4 pm; govt offices will be functional with 50% employees
Keeping in view the decline in Covid-19 cases in Rajasthan, the government will further ease some restrictions from Tuesday, officials said.
The government offices and schools will be functional with 50% employees and teachers from June 7.
The markets will be allowed to open till 4 pm, which was a major demand of the traders and market associations. At present, the market is allowed to open between 6 am and 11 am.
Extending time to open market will be a major decision in phase 2 of the unlock. On June 2, the government had allowed opening of dairies, vegetable and grocery shops.
A senior official familiar with the developments said, “The public transport system will be resumed and ban on inter-district movement will be removed.” He said the ban on social and religious gathering will continue and wedding ceremonies will not be allowed in the state till June 30.
The markets will open, but not the shopping complexes or malls. Cinema halls, theatres, auditoriums, swimming pools, gyms and entertainment parks will remain closed.
Meanwhile, the directorate of secondary education, Bikaner, issues orders to open government schools from Monday.
The schools will function with 50% staff presence and the attendance schedule will be based on rotation.
Due to lockdown, the government has started ‘Aao Ghar se Padhen-2’ initiative, under which Whatsapp group will be formed – the study material will be given online.
All class teachers have been asked to complete the formation
