GOVERNMENT FORMS TEAMS TO AUDIT VACCINES
JAIPUR: The health department on Monday constituted teams for the audit of Covid vaccines at district level.
The teams will keep an eye on uninterrupted vaccination and its proper use, officials said.
Principal secretary, health department, Akhil Arora said that the Covid vaccination programme in the state is being run as per the prescribed protocol. He said that teams have been formed at the state, district and block levels to ensure maximum use of the vaccines. There would be three divisional teams at the district level to oversee the vaccination process, while three teams at the state level would be separate for periodic audits.
He said that district and block level teams would be formed for the inspection in the district. The district-level team will inspect district vaccine stores and 10% cold points and private session sites of the Covid vaccine, while 20% cold chain points and private session sites will be inspected by the second team. Block level teams will inspect 100% cold chain points and session sites in their section.
He said that district and block level teams would inspect and send their reports to the Directorate of Medical and Health, Jaipur, through district collector within the first seven days of formation.
Arora said three teams have also been formed for periodic audits. The first team will comprise Dr Pradeep Chaudhary, state nodal officer, child health and Dr Mahesh Sachdeva, state nodal officer, maternal health. The second team will consist of Dr Rommel Singh, state nodal officer, CHO and Dr Abhinav Aggarwal, state nodal officer, maternal health, while the third team will consist of Dr Girish Dwivedi, project director, family welfare and Dr Purushottam Soni, principal specialist, TB.
