A senior party leader said on condition of anunymity, “Now all eyes are on Pilot-priyanka meeting as she had played an important role in resolving the political crisis in July 2020. He will also meet state in charge Ajay Maken and AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, who are members of the committee but haven’t submitted a report in last 10 months.”

A few days back, Pilot said that the party high command was yet to resolve the issues that led to his rebellion in July 2020 against chief minister Ashok Gehlot, and that a committee constituted to address the concerns he raised last year had failed to deliver.

After submitting his resignation, senior MLA Hemaram Choudhary met Pilot at his residence on Friday. Choudhary was among the 18 MLAS who backed Pilot during the political crisis. The decision over his resignation is pending before assembly speaker CP Joshi.
