Taking about the Covid- 19 infection in the state, Yogi said the state continued to maintain control over the pandemic following the policy of “track, test, treat, and vaccinate”. In the last 48 hours, 305 fresh cases of infection were reported and the total number of active cases was 1,567.
Talking about vaccination, he said UP has administered 31.76 crore doses of the Covid vaccine.
APPOINTMENT OF FULLTIME V- CS
Discussing the education sector, Adityanath asked officers to provide all necessary cooperation to such institutions that intend to establish private universities in the state.
“Simplify the processes and do not keep proposals pending,” he said.
He also asked for the appointment of full-time vicechancellors and other associated designations at the newly established Maa Shakumbhrai state university, Saharanpur; Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh state university, Aligarh; and Maharaja Suheldev university, Azamgarh.
MEERUT: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will pay tribute to martyrs of the First War of Independence on Tuesday. The CM will arrive in the evening and stay here for four hours.
The First War of Independence began from Meerut on May 10, 1857, after 85 soldiers refused to use cartridges greased with animal fat.
The CM will arrive here at 4 pm and pay tribute at the Shaheed Smarak, and thereafter, garland the statue of Dhan Singh Kotwal near
Saket. Kotwal played a vital role in the revolt and supported revolutionaries.
He will then hold a review meeting of development work besides taking stock of the law and order situation. He may visit the construction sites of the Rapid Rail project between Meerut and Delhi. He will then attend cultural programmes to be organised at Victoria Park and depart at 8.40 pm after attending a light and sound programme about revolution of 1857 at Shaheed Smarak.
