It’s been 21 years since actor Raqesh Bapat started his Bollywood journey with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha’s 2001 film, Tum Bin. After exploring Bollywood, Bapat shifted his gear to TV and starred in some popular shows, including Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar, Qubool Hai and Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak? Currently, he is figuring out his way forward in the web space.

While some actors are open to going all out on OTT, Bapat admits there are certain boundaries that he would never cross. “Everything I do needs to resonate with the essence of my being. There are certain boundaries that I have set for myself, which I always like to stick to and I’d never cross,” he says.

The 44-year-old says he was naive when he joined the film industry, but he has learnt a lot throughout his journey. “Each project allowed me to grow and hone my craft as an actor. I am eternally grateful for all the ups and downs,” he says.

Talking about his journey so far, Bapat explains, “I didn’t really have any difficult chapters [in my life or career]. All the difficulties you go through make you stronger.”
