COMEDIAN SHREDS £10,000 OVER BECKHAM’S DEAL

-

The stage was all set for the opening ceremony and most Indian fans were getting ready for the moment when the World Cup would spring to life. But if you, like many Indians, decided to stream the event on the JioCinema app or website, then you were in trouble. The stream would just keep buffering after every few seconds for most users and that made the #WorldsGreatestShow an unwatchable experience.

A British comedian shredded £10,000 ($11,900) in bank notes after giving David Beckham an ultimatum to pull out of his role as an ambassador for Qatar at the World Cup. Beckham is working for Qatar, which has been criticised for its treatment of foreign workers and LGBTQ+ rights. Joe Lycett said last week he would donate the money to charity if Beckham agreed to cut ties with the WC hosts.
