High time I walked out: Manasi Naik on divorcing husband
Actor Manasi Naik has decided to part ways with her husband, boxer Pradeep Kharera, she exclusively tells us. Naik and Kharera unfollowed each other on social media and also deleted pictures of each other, sparking rumours of the impending divorce.
“The rumours are true. I have filed for divorce; it is under process currently.
I’m extremely emotional right now,” Naik, 35, says.
The Tribhanga (2021) actor admits that she is not coping well with the separation: “Things didn’t work out and it all happened too soon. It’s high time for me to walk out [of my marriage]. I respect him and his family. But, as a woman, I have self-esteem and self-respect, too. That said, I still believe in love, I want to [fall in] love again.”
Naik adds that she wants “to move on and concentrate” on her career. “My family, friends and audience are all counting on me, as an artiste. I think it is high time that I concentrate on my career,” she ends.
