STATE GOVT ANNOUNCES SUBSIDY FOR THOSE WILLING TO INVEST IN U.P.

LUCKNOW : The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday announced conditional subsidies to entrepreneurs willing to invest in the state. Recently, the state government introduced a new Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2022 to provide opportunities for investment and employment in the state. “Under this policy, the industry has been divided into four categories namely, large, mega, super mega and ultramega to increase investment in the state,” said the government in a statement.

Under the policy, a large industry will have to give employment to at least 300 youths of the state every year. While, a mega industry will have to provide job opportunities to at least 600 youths every year.

In addition, booster subsidy will be available on provision of jobs to 75 percent women. Under the scheme, the industries of the four categories will get booster subsidies of two percent and four percent each on provision of employment to 75 percent women along with ensuring minimum employment.
