Gehlot: Modi misleading with 100-day action plan
Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday corned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is misleading the public with his 100-day action plan. He demanded that Modi should first give the account of the promises made in 2014 and 2019 and there fulfilment.
“The Modi government has tried to mislead the public by holding a meeting yesterday before the elections and discussing the next government’s 100-day action plan and the next 25 years, but till date it has not given the implementation report of the announcements made in the manifestos of the last two elections,” he said on X.
“Modi government should first give an account of its promises of 2014 and 2019 because the public has not yet forgotten the promises made in 2014 such as bringing back black money from abroad in 100 days and creating 2 crore (20 million) jobs every year,” he added.
Modi on Sunday held an allhands meeting with his council of ministers to discuss the road map for Viksit Bharat and plan
crucial priority work, including the agenda for the first 100 days of when his government is re-elected in May.
In another tweet, Gehlot urged the youth to vote for their better future instead of going confused by emotional issues.
“Instead of getting confused by emotional issues, the youth of our country should vote for their better future only after knowing and thinking about these things, facts and concerns of Rahul Gandhi,” he said, quoting Gandhi’s tweet questioning Modi government.
Commenting on it, BJP spokesperson Laxmikant Bharadwaj said, “A leader who
works for the masses knows that people choose them again, that’s why the PM without wasting time started the work. Even congress knows they aren’t in the fight.
He said Gehlot is making baseless statements. “In Rajasthan, Congress isn’t winning a single seat,” he said.
Meanwhile later in the day, the former chief minister held a meeting with local leaders of Jodhpur Lok Sabha constituency at his residence in Jaipur.
According to those familiar with the development, Gehlot took feedback on his son, Vaibhav Gehlot’s candidature from Jodhpur constituency.
