PUPPY COMES FIRST

- KARISHMA MEHTA Storyteller and writer

QMy sister has adopted a dog that she refuses to take care of as she’s barely home, and my parents can’t keep up with the pooch. How can I convince her to put it up for adoption (my neighbours are keen on adopting the dog)?

pen communication is the key—speak with her and tell her exactly how you feel about sharing responsibility and her lack of it. If after that you feel like you’re getting nowhere, then tell her why it’s the best decision for the family to put up the dog for adoption, since it’s even in the pet’s best interest to be properly loved and cared for.
