JEET THAYIL WINS SOUTH ASIAN LITERATURE PRIZE

Poet and novelist Jeet Thayil won the DSC prize for South Asian Literature 2013 for his debut novel Narcopolis. Chief guest Sharmila Tagore presented Thayil the prize, which includes a cash award of $50,000, at the Jaipur Lit Fest.
