PENDING BEFORE THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION

Senior Congress corporators Santosh Shetty and his wife Anita are in trouble over alleged illegal construction at their hotel Three Star in Kharghar. The general body of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) will take up the resolution on their disqualification on April 17. The Bombay high court on February 28 had asked the NMMC to issue show cause notices to the couple, based on a writ petition filed by Nerul resident Sayyed Peer Fakira. The Shettys had been in trouble, even last year, over another alleged illegal construction at the Shettys’ Nerul office.
