ARCHBISHOP OF BOMBAY AMONG POPE’S ADVISERS
VATICAN CITY: India’s Oswald Gracias was among eight high-ranking cardinals from around the world who were on Saturday appointed by Pope Francis in an advisory council to reform the Vatican bureaucracy. The council will help the Pope revise the Church administration that helps him in daily governance.
Gracias, 68, currently serves as Archbishop of Bombay, having been appointed by Pope Benedict XVI in 2006. He was raised to the cardinalate in 2007.
