Procession to mark 20 yrs of Vashi temple

VASHI: As a part of the three-day celebrations at Shree Sai Seva Samiti, Vashi, to mark its 20th foundation day, a procession was carried out on Thursday evening.

The Palki procession at the temple in sector 1, saw hundreds of devotees come together.

“Although our temple completes 20 years on May 29, we organise the celebration in the third week of April,” said Santosh Kanade, chairman of the trust.

A grand puja was also held in the temple, where many devotees participated in the palanquin procession and carried a portrait of Sai Baba. Women also carried diyas in their hands and sang hymns during the procession.

On Friday, a Kakad aarti , holy bath and abhishek will be held in morning while there will be a special musical programme in the evening. Similar programmes will also be held on Saturday with Mahaprasad being distributed to all the devotees in the evening.
