BRUTALISED CHILDHOOD

The girl was taken to MCD Swami Dayanand hospital in Dilshad Garden, east Delhi, on Wednesday. The 5-year-old was traumatised, delirious and not fully conscious. She underwent life-saving surgery on Thursday and has since been shifted to AIIMS. HER CONDITION: Bruises on her vagina, bite marks on cheeks, lips and chest. Lips swollen to nearly twice its size Cuts on her neck, probably from blade-like object; bruises as if someone tried to strangle her 200ml cracked plastic bottle of hair oil and three candles taken out from her vagina in surgery Infection due to foreign objects with 103ºF fever is a concern Can’t eat orally and has been put on IV fluids Under observation and undergoing tests at AIIMS.
