MARATHI CULTURAL PROGRAMME TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY

VASHI:

Marathi Sahitya Sanskruti and Kala Mandal will be organising ‘Kovali Unhe’ — an evening of poetry, song and play, on Saturday. The evening will see feature performers, Meghna Sane, Hemant Sane and Madhura Kulkarni and will be held at the Marathi Sahitya Mandir in Sector No 6 Vashi at 7pm.

Two burglaries reported in different parts of city NAVI MUMBAI:

Ompal Rajak, 25, an employee of Zengars Solution Pvt. Ltd. at Millennium Business Park, unit 3 has filed a complaint that the premises of his office were burgled between Saturday and Monday. Cash and a laptop were stolen during the robbery. In another burglary, Aradhana Das, 25, a resident of Sitaram plot number 303 in sector 20, Airoli, also filed a complaint has complained that a laptop was stolen from her house on Sunday at 7.30am.

Vashi group organises humorous theatre night VASHI:

Navi Mumbaikars were in for a treat on Sunday evening as the Vashi Fine Arts Society (VFAS) hosted four humorous Tamil plays at Marathi Sahitya Sanskruti Mandal Hall. The four plays: ‘Julius Caesar Who Never Was’, ‘Ettu Potta Tickettu’ (Ticket No. 8), ‘Kathrikkai­kku Je’ and ‘Paattu Paada Vaarihala’ were performed to a packed house by Sri Shanmukhan­anda Fine Arts Theatre Group, the drama wing of Shri Shanmukhan­anda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha based in Mumbai. VFAS will hold its next programme on May 18 and 19.
