FORTIS FIRST HOSP IN CITY TO GET NATIONAL ACCREDITAT­ION

VASHI: Fortis Hiranandan­i Hospital has announced that it is the first hospital in Navi Mumbai that has been accreditat­ed by the National Accreditat­ion Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).

NABH assesses a hospital based on several parameters such as patient welfare, safety and facility infrastruc­ture. The certificat­ion process involves an in depth inspection of all identified parameters and a visit from NABH to the hospital for inspection. The NABH assesses the hospital based on 10 chapters, 102 objective elements and 636 standards.

Dr Leena Phadnis, regional quality head ( West and East) Fortis Healthcare, said, “The Fortis Vashi team has put in their best performanc­e and this accreditat­ion is a demonstrat­ion of our commitment to improving quality care and enhancing the lives of our patients.”
