A buyer-seller meet was or­gan­ised to pro­mote dif­fer­ent kinds of man­goes from Ut­tar Pradesh (UP) for ex­por­ta­tion to ma­jor mar­kets such as USA, China, Ja­pan, Aus­tralia and New Zealand at the Supreme Her­itage ho­tel in Vashi on Fri­day.

“The State of Ut­tar Pradesh has been the front run­ner in terms of mango pro­duc­tion with a wide range of pop­u­lar and po­ten­tial va­ri­eties. The ma­jor pop­u­lar and po­ten­tial va­ri­eties grown in the states are Dush­eri, Lan­gra, Chausa and Mal­lika. Con­sid­er­ing the po­ten­tial of th­ese mango va­ri­eties and their pro­duc­tion in the State, UP’s mango has been branded ‘Nawab’,” said Ra­jeev Sri­vas­tava deputy di­rec­tor, Ra­jva Kr­ishi Ut­pan Mandi Par­ishad (RKUMP) which co- or­gan­ised the event with National In­sti­tute of Agri­cul­tural Mar­ket­ing (NIAM) and Agri­cul­tural and Pro­cessed Food Prod­ucts Ex­port De­vel­op­ment Au­thor­ity (APEDA)
