City cops win cricket trophy

NERUL: The Navi Mumbai police’s cricket team emerged the winners of Khasdar Chashak-2013 ( MP Trophy 2013) over arm cricket tournament held at Bhumiputra maidan in sectors 22-23 of Kopar Khairane.

The police team was awarded a cash prize of Rs2 lakh and a trophy. The Vashi Gaon team was the runner up and received Rs1 lakh in prize money and a trophy.

Sixteen top teams took part in the cricket championship organised by Vijay Patil, who heads Vijay Patil Mitra Mandal.
