Cong, BJP spar over terror, naxals

BAHRAICH/ RAJNANDGAON: The BJP and the Congress gunned for each other over terrorism and Maoist violence at rallies addressed by Narendra Modi in UP’s Bahraich district and Rahul Gandhi in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon district on Friday.

Modi said, “It’s not just the CBI. Even the Indian Mujahideen is being allowed a free run. The CBI and IM will fight elections to save the Congress.”

Gandhi said, “Shame. The frontline leadership of the Congress (in Chhattisgarh) was wiped out in a Maoist attack (in Bastar in May) and the BJP continues to give big speeches on violence and terrorism.”
