Raigad kids win CBSE’s taekwondo tournament

NAVI MUMBAI: Students from various schools in Raigad district won accolades at the taekwondo championship organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The zonal round of the championship was organised under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India at OP Jindal School in Chattisgharh.

Seven students from Raigad emerged winners from among 798 players from nine states. The gold medalists include Unnati Dubey (JH Ambani School) and Ravi Nag ( Jaipuriya School), silver medalists are Aayushi Bhakta ( New Horizon Public School) and Kabir Bhakta (New Horizon Public School), while Sayali Kuchekar (New Horizon Public School), Omkar Patil ( Pillai’s International School, Rasayani) and Raj Mali (Pillai’s International School, Rasayani) are the bronze medallists.

All the gold and silver medalists from the championship will participate in the national championship to be held in December
