INEBRIATED MAN FIRES A SHOT OUTSIDE CBD BAR

CBD BELAPUR: A drunk gunman fired a single shot into the ground outside Nightingale bar in sector 15 of CBD Belapur on Tuesday night. The incident followed a dispute he had with four friends while inside the bar.

Although no casualties were reported in the firing that took place around 9.30pm, the CBD police, who rushed to the spot after receiving information from the bar owner, said they were investigating the incident.

According to t he police, the five friends were enjoying drinks in the bar, when a quarrel started over a petty issue. As soon as they came out of the bar, one of them opened fire. Soon after, all of them fled the spot, investigating officials stated.

Purushottam Karad, deputy police commissioner ( zone I), said, “We have l aunched a search to arrest the gunman and his friends who have been on the run since the incident took place. The incident has also triggered panic among people.”
