Pho­tos by you can be fea­tured in NMMC’s cal­en­dar

CBD BE­LA­PUR: For the fourth con­sec­u­tive year, the Navi Mum­bai Mu­nic­i­pal Cor­po­ra­tion (NMMC) will or­gan­ise a photograph­y com­pe­ti­tion ‘ Pra­tima Navi Mum­bai chi’ for pro­fes­sional and am­a­teur pho­tog­ra­phers.

Se­lected en­tries will be fea­tured in the an­nual cal­en­dar of the civic body which will be pub­lished next year. They will also be awarded cash prizes and a me­mento.

The com­pe­ti­tion has been di­vided into two cat­e­gories - pro­fes­sional and am­a­teur and is open only to res­i­dents. There is no en­try fee and pho­tos that have been taken within the city lim­its, that is from Digha to CBD Be­la­pur, can be sub­mit­ted as en­tries.

Ac­cord­ing t o Ja­gan­nath Sin­narkar, NMMC’s deputy mu­nic­i­pal com­mis­sioner, “There are many pho­tog­ra­phers who have cap­tured the beauty of the re­gion. We in­tend to show­case that beauty of the city.” The two topics for the con­test are ‘Best of Navi Mum­bai’ and ‘Cul­tural Events of Navi Mum­bai.’

Par­tic­i­pants in the com­pe­ti­tion can send photograph­s for any or both of the topics. How­ever, a max­i­mum of only 3 en­tries will be ac­cepted for each topic. The photograph­s should be of 10” x 12” size in matt fin­ish and should be sub­mit­ted with an ap­pli­ca­tion.

En­try forms are avail­able at the pub­lic re­la­tions depart­ment of the NMMC of­fice at CBD Be­la­pur.
