The city got a much-needed re­cre­ational spot when the Rs38.84-crore, Won­ders Park was in­au­gu­rated by Union agri­cul­ture min­is­ter Sharad Pawar on De­cem­ber 15, 2012 in sec­tor 19A Nerul.

The 30-acre park houses fa­cil­i­ties not just for chil­dren but for se­nior cit­i­zens as well. Its spe­cial at­trac­tions in­clude mini repli­cas of the seven won­ders of the world in­clud­ing the Taj Ma­hal, The Great Wall of China, the Pe­tra city of Jor­dan, the Colos­seum in Rome, Machu Pic­chu in Peru, The Chichen Itza mon­u­ment in Mex­ico and Cristo Re­den­tor, the statue of christ in Rio de Janeiro.

The park has rides, a toy train and cy­cling and skat­ing paths. Other fa­cil­i­ties in­clude an am­phithe­atre, a land­scaped pond, party and pic­nic lawns, food plaza and a guest house.
