KHARGHAR: Scores of illegal hoardings of political parties have been put up in Kharghar in the wake of gram panchayat elections that are scheduled to be held in December.

Political parties have chosen to brazenly ignore the Bombay high court’s order which prevents them from doing so.

A number of illegal banners and hoardings with pictures of party leaders have been put up at Shilp chowk, Utsav chowk, Hiranandani skywalk, utility poles and on the corner of trees along the roads, defacing the beauty of the node.

The anti - encroachment department of City and Industrial Development Organisation (Cidco), too. seems to have turned a blind eye to the unauthorised hoardings that have been put up by political leaders at several spots.

Irked by the inconvenience caused, residents have demanded that thee illegal advertisement and bill boards installed by politicians be removed from the city.

According t o sources in Cidco’s anti- encroachment department, action will soon be taken against such unauthorised bill boards dotting the node.
