“We will not tolerate eve teasing in the area. Action will be taken against those standing at corners, chowks and schools and colleges and passing comments at girls and women,” said Sunil Bajare, senior inspector, Panvel police station.

Bajare has said there will be increased patrolling and nakabandi in the area to curb crimes like chain snatching and house breaking thefts.

He has appealed to the residents to come forward with their complaints to the police station without any hesitation assuring that immediate action will be taken.
