Day 2 of property expo draws 70K visitors, builders happy
VASHI: As visitors flocked the 16th property exhibition organised by CREDAI-Builders Association of Navi Mumbai (BANM) on Saturday, talks of recessions seemed redundant.
The exhibition has been organised at City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) Exhibition Centre in Vashi.
Happy with a footfall of around 70,000 people on the second day of the exhibition, participating developers and organisers are expecting more on Sunday.
BANM trustee Bhupen Shah said, “The response has been overwhelming. We had around 20,000 visitors on Friday, which jumped to almost 70,000 on Saturday.”
He said, “People are not just visiting, they have also been booking houses and making serious inquiries. We are expecting a footfall of around 1.5 lakh on Sunday.”
Manish Bhatija, managing director of Paradise group and vice-president of BANM, said, “We have had several bookings already. The number of visitors is huge and there is keen interest in the properties on offer.”
“There are so many more options such as Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA), new Cidco areas and the region between Navi
Mumbai and Pune. The buyer is spoilt for choice,” said Bhatija.
“New areas and better civic amenities are all the right ingredients for the real estate market and the buyers,” said Rajesh Prajapati, managing director of Prajapati group that has a project in Dronagiri.
He said, “There is no such thing as a prime area now, as people are looking for new areas which they know will become prime in no time.”
