TV actor’s suicide: Cops say boyfriend may not be involved

MUMBAI: The police on Saturday detained TV actor Pratyusha Banerjee’s boyfriend, a day after she was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her Goregaon apartment. The police said they questioned Rahul Raj Singh, but found nothing incriminating. He was let off late in the night. “We recorded statements of her parents and they did not level any allegations,” said a police officer. Singh was brought to the hospital in a police vehicle and was seen wailing. Doctors at the Goregaon hospital that did the autopsy said they will keep cause of death pending until forensic reports arrive.
