studying how the corporatio­n should be, its geographic­al boundaries, financial sources and expenses on basic amenities and infrastruc­ture. It will also take stock of water supply

The residents of Panvel

city at present pay only property tax to the municipal council. Those in the rural areas pay their house tax. Once the new municipal corporatio­n comes into being, residents of Panvel will have to pay various taxes. These include, apart from property tax, local body tax, stamp duty, premium tax, developmen­t tax among others.
