70% MAHA VILLAGES ARE HIT BY DROUGHT

The Maharashtra government has declared drought in 26,670 villages across the state, of which 11,962 villages are in the Vidarbha region and the rest in Marathwada, Khandesh and western Maharashtra. It means around 70% of the state is reeling under a severe drought.
