Two youths held for robbing mobile store in Thane

THANE: Two youths from Rabodi were arrested for breaking into a mobile shop at Kalwa and stealing recharge vouchers worth Rs60,000. The two, Imran Quereshi, 20, and Mustaq Quereshi, 19, committed the crime on April 13.

They drilled a hole and entered Archana Electronics. Police sub-inspector from Kalwa police station Sanjay Kasare said: “They did not find any cash. They took away recharge vouchers worth Rs60,000.”

Kasare said: “We started tracking the serial numbers of the recharge vouchers which they had stolen. We came to know that one of the recharge was being done from Rabodi. The accused had given the voucher to his friend.” The police traced them and arrested them on Thursday.
