BANGLADESHI PROF HACKED TO DEATH BY ISLAMIC STATE

A liberal university professor on way to work in northwestern Bangladesh was on Saturday hacked to death by machete-wielding ISIS militants near his home, the latest in a series of similar attacks on intellectuals and bloggers by the dreaded group in the Muslimmajority country. Rajshahi University professor AFM Rezaul Karim Siddiquee, 58, was attacked by motorbike-borne assailants, who slit his throat using sharp weapons and left him to die, police said.
