February 5, 2016:

The Kamothe police registered a case against one real estate developer for allegedly swindling several people of Rs20 lakh promising flats in a building at Adai village in Panvel. The suspects had taken Rs3 to Rs5 lakh from each victim and fled without handing over the flats.

October 7, 2015:

The Kopar Khairane police booked five people for allegedly duping over 30 people to the tune of Rs5 crore assuring flats in an under-constructi­on building.

April, 13, 2015:

The Kamothe police arrested Roopesh Kaungade, 35, and two of his accomplice­s for allegedly cheating 35 people of Rs2 crore promising flats. They would tell people that he had started several projects in Navi Mumbai and could offer flats at cheaper rates.
