EMERGENCY CALL BOX TO CONTACT COPS:

Cidco and the city police have jointly chalked out a plan to install 10 call boxes in the city, where the people will be able to directly contact the police helplines. A caller will be able to communicat­e with the police officials in the control room through video conference­s and convey his or her messages to them, a senior police officer said.

VARIABLE MESSAGING SIGNS:

Installati­on of digital signboards at specified locations which will display messages/ informatio­n in multiple languages. These will be digital road signs that can be used to inform car drivers about specific temporary events and real-time traffic situation

PARKING LOT AVAILABILI­TY AUTOMATION:

This will automatica­lly display the real-time availabili­ty of parking slots. This will also be made accessible through mobile app and will be integrated with variable messaging signboards. Police will also be able to keep a tab on cars entering and exiting the locations along with the car numbers. This will also help in tracking missing vehicles

CONNECTIVI­TY FOR SENSORS:

Initiative­s such as temperatur­e sensors, air quality sensors, flood water sensors, fire and smoke sensors will enable police to manage emergencie­s incidents and will help in better coordinati­on with other government authoritie­s such as medical help and fire brigade.
